Background
Now in its 35th year of supporting the group travel industry, Excursions is the longest established group travel show in the UK. Visitors to Excursions 2011 were up by 16% on the previous year with nearly 1,130 visitors setting a new record.
Excursions 2011 also proved to be a great success with over 230 attractions, destinations, accommodation providers and tour operators taking space.
Seven coaches transported visitors to the show from around the south east as well as 12 coach operators bringing their own group customers for a VIP Welcome. Each year there is a free shuttle coach from the nearest railway and underground stations with Excursions staff waiting on the platforms to greet visitors and guide them to the coach.
An average of 99% of visitors to Excursions from 2005 to 2011 rated the show as ‘worthwhile’ or ‘very worthwhile’.

- 99% of 2011 exhibitors said they would consider booking again for 2012
- 99% of visitors surveyed found visiting Excursions 2011 'worthwhile' or 'very worthwhile'
- 99% of visitors are 'likely' or 'very likely' to take a group to visit the venues which exhibited at Excursions 2011
- 55% of visitors did not intend to visit any other UK group or travel trade exhibition
