INFORMATION
Background
Now in its 34th year of supporting the group travel industry, Excursions is the longest established
group travel show in the UK. Visitors to Excursions 2009, the UK’s premier one day group travel
show, were 7.5% up on the 2008 Figures at over 1,100 setting a new attendance record this century.
Excursions 2010 also proved to be a great success with over 200 attractions, destinations, accommodation providers and tour operators taking space.
Seven coaches transported visitors to the show from around the south east as well as coac opertors brining their own group customers. Each year there is a free shuttle coach from the nearest railway and underground
stations with Excursions staff waiting on the platforms to greet visitors and guide them to the coach.
An average of 99% of visitors to Excursions from 2005 to 2009 rated the show as ‘worthwhile’ or ‘very worthwhile’.
